Vicarious Vacation - California Coast
Take a short vicarious vacation with Ricklibrarian's Flickr collection (be sure to choose slideshow) of photos along California's coastal Route 1 from Carmel to Big Sur. I drove from San Francisco to San Simeon (to see Hearst Castle) in the mid-1990s and remember it as quite literally breath-taking: panoramically beautiful, atmospheric, and a little scary zipping along the cliffs with their sheer drop-offs into the ocean.
